Pedro is a member of the SynBio Apprentice Fall '21 cohort.
Pedro is an engineer passionate about developing technologies to improve human health. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in biomechanics from MIT, where he worked on projects spanning microbiology, neuroengineering, computational biology, and aerospace engineering. In the Lauffenburger Lab, Pedro used single-cell RNA-seq to extract insights about the tumor microenvironment in mouse models of PDAC. Pedro has also held industry internships at Novartis and BridgeBio, and has engaged in humanitarian efforts abroad.
Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Pedro loves to indulge in nice weather, good food, and great music.
