Stefan Jenkins
Stefan is an analytic chemist with a background in high-throughput screening, metabolomics and building scalable analytical pipelines that integrate chromatography, automation, and informatics. He spent almost a decade building capabilities and supporting synthetic biology programs at Sestina/Inscripta, Zymergen, Intrexon, and Industrial Microbes. Earlier, he developed LC- and GC-MS applications in Trent Northen’s lab at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and spent eight years at Agilent Technologies supporting LC, GC, and QTOF-MS systems. He started his career at Exelixis with LC-MS based quality control for combinatorial chemistry libraries.
Stefan holds an M.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in Biology from UC Santa Cruz.
Outside the lab, Stefan enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, mountain biking, surfing and hiking.
